ABOUT THE PRACTICE

The Practice by Charlie-Jade is an evidence-based education, health and well-being space for professional voice users and performing artists. Bringing together the worlds of science and performance, practitioners are equipped with the qualifications, knowledge and experience to support you in developing your vocal technique, increasing your health and well-being, and encourage you to grow in confidence and resilience, allowing you to flourish as an artist. Founded by singer, teacher, consultant, and researcher Charlie-Jade Jones, The Practice holds space, and ensures that high-quality evidence-based training is accessible  to singers, actors, and actor-musicians at all stages of their careers. 

ABOUT CHARLIE-JADE

Charlie-Jade is a Musical Theatre graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and is currently completing an MSc Performance Science at the Royal College of Music. Her research focus is across the areas of performance psychology and the health and well-being of performing artists, looking closely at the relationship between voice, mind, and body, as well as intervention practices for the psychological well-being of performing artists. She holds a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music with Distinction in Singing Teaching, and is a member of The British Voice Association and Healthy Conservatories Network. As part of her continued professional development, she observes in NHS Voice Clinics, and has received education in areas including but not limited to; The Accent Method, Somatic Voicework and The Feldenkrais Method. As well as being the founder of The Practice by Charlie-Jade, she holds teaching positions at Mountview, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and LAMDA, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate actors, musical theatre performers, and actor musicians. Charlie-Jade holds a Certificate in Performance Coaching accredited by the British Psychological Society and is a consultant and educator for performance psychology and performers health and well-being. Harmoniously bridging the worlds of science and music, Charlie-Jade continues her work as a singer-actor. Highlights include the European Premier of Marc Blitzstein’s No For An Answer at The Arcola Theatre, the 10th Anniversary of Howard Goodall’s Love Story at Cadogan Hall, as well as work as a concert singer and session vocalist with companies including Abbey Road Studios and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
